AMY CORDERO, LMFT

Therapist

Amy Cordero (she/her/hers) utilizes a blend of different modalities in her therapeutic work, exploring client’s struggles while maintaining a vision for growth, progress, transformation and empowerment in a supportive, nurturing and non-judgmental environment. She serves individuals, LGBTQIA+, and late adolescents in a variety of situations, some of which may be processing trauma, exploring anxiety or depression, addressing relationship issues, or getting through a transitional phase of life.

She trained at Airport Marina Counseling Service and worked with individuals, couples and adolescents providing therapy for clients with (but not limited to) relational issues, anxiety, depression, grief, loss and self-esteem. Following that experience, she continued her work in community mental health at Violence Intervention Program working with children, adolescents, young adults, foster youth and families addressing a variety of

challenges and aftereffects of trauma. Under the supervision of Karen Malbon in private practice, she continues processing the after effects of trauma with adults while addressing anxiety, depression and grief and loss, among other challenges.
